It’s been too long since taking time for a vacation.  I’ve taken time off from work several times this year, making three wonderful and blessed  trips to Guatemala, and I wouldn’t change those experiences for anything.  As 2008 has worn on, I’ve realized the difference between traveling and having a carefree vacation.  Fortunately for me, there’s a trip on the horizon. 

I’ll be cruising through the Caribbean where the temperature is 80 degrees while it’s 20 degrees at home.  I’ll float in the water while snorkeling, watching the fish bob and weave in their own way.  Sit on the beach digging my toes in the sand.  Lay by the water with a book in hand, which I may or may not work up the energy to read.  I can’t wait.
